Woohoo, we’re thrilled to share some fantastic news! This year, our Wild Tasmanian Gin and Pink Gin have climbed to incredible heights on the Hottest 100 Australian Gins list, an annual celebration of Australia’s finest gins. Organized by the iconic Covent Garden West End in Brisbane, this prestigious ranking is a true reflection of Australia’s love affair with gin—and we couldn’t be more proud to be part of it. If you guys don’t know about Covent Garden, Covent Garden nestles QLD best gin bar, as well as a truly authentic modern Australian restaurant, which also happens to be one of very few fully coeliac friendly / gluten free venues in Australia, serving anything from small bites & shares to seasonally changing large plates & main meals.
Our Journey on the Hottest 100 List
Our journey began in 2022, when Bright Night Gin debuted at #47, and our vibrant Pink Gin secured a spot at #96. This was a moment of pride as we joined some of the biggest names in Australian gin.
In 2023, we took things to the next level. Our Wild Tasmanian Gin reached #28, while our Pink Gin climbed to #81, solidifying our position among Australia’s top craft distillers.
And now, in 2024, we’ve reached new heights! Bright Night Wild Tasmanian Gin has soared to #2—just one spot shy of the top—while our Pink Gin sits proudly at #30. To be ranked alongside industry heavyweights like Manly Spirits, Prohibition, Four Pillars, and Archie Rose is an honor we’ll cherish. When we saw the results, we literally fell off the chair!
Also congratulations to Granddad Jack’s 65 Miles for taking the top gong. We would love to challenge it one of these years.
Celebrating Queensland Love
The Hottest 100 isn’t just about numbers; it’s about connecting with gin enthusiasts from all over Australia, especially Queensland. This recognition feels particularly special as we’ve built strong ties with the gin-loving community in Brisbane and beyond.
Last year, we participated in the Good Food and Wine Show in Queensland, where we met so many passionate gin fans. Seeing Bright Night Gin appreciated and celebrated in this part of Australia is a testament to the connections we’ve made and the love Queenslanders have shown us. At the event we also sold out of our first batch of Chardonnary Barrel Aged Gin, so we know how much you love your(our) gin 🙂 We also get a lot of love from you guys in our store, so thank you again for helping us reach this milestone.
The Impact of Garden Street Gin Club
A big part of our Wild Tasmanian Gin’s journey to #2 can be credited to its feature as a monthly gin in the Garden Street Gin Club. This exposure allowed you, amazing gin lovers across Australia to experience the magic of our unfiltered, botanically rich spirit. It’s been amazing to see how this opportunity has introduced Bright Night Wild Tasmanian Gin to so many new enthusiasts. It was great to hear how much you loved the box and our Gin at events around Australia! The Gin gift box included our Wild Tasmanian Gin, matched Tonic waters, snacks and a beautiful book about our gin and recommended cocktail recipes.
