Our Small Gin wins some Big awards at Australian Gin Awards 2025
When the results of the Australian Gin Awards 2025 were announced, the Bright Night Gin team was buzzing with excitement. Against fierce competition from distilleries across the country, we proudly brought home not just medals, but two major trophies that mark another milestone in our journey to becoming one of Australia’s Most awarded Gin producers.
This year, we were honoured to receive:
- Trophy for Best VIC Contemporary Gin – Wild Tasmanian Gin
- Trophy for Best VIC Matured Gin – Chardonnay Barrel Aged Gin
- Gold Medal – Wild Tasmanian Gin – Contemporary Gin
- Silver Medal – Wild Tasmanian Gin – Classic Gin
- Silver Medal – Chardonnay Barrel Aged Gin
- Bronze Medal – Bright Night Pink Gin
Every award represents countless hours of distilling, tasting, and refining, and to see that hard work recognised on such a respected national stage is incredibly humbling.
A History of Gold and a Passion for Perfection
This is not our first appearance on the Australian Gin Awards stage. Over the years, every Bright Night Gin has achieved gold at the awards, setting a consistent benchmark for quality. Our Bright Night Pink Gin, in particular, holds a special place in our hearts, having previously won gold twice and establishing itself as one of Australia’s best Pink Gins. Our Wild Tasmanian Gin now joins the Pink Gin in getting 2 gold medals in the Australian Gin awards. Since we do not have an open distillery, awards is how we let the Gin community know that we are worth a sip or ten 🙂

Chardonnay Barrel Aged Gin: A Toast to Maturity
Our Chardonnay Barrel Aged Gin, affectionately known as the Red Goat, continues to surprise and delight both judges and drinkers. Aged in French oak Chardonnay barrels sourced from a Tamar Valley winery, it offers buttery vanilla tones, delicate caramel sweetness, and an oak finish that lingers beautifully on the palate.
This year, it was crowned Best VIC Matured Gin, alongside a silver medal at the Australian Gin Awards. For a gin that began as a small-batch experiment, it has now become one of our most celebrated creations.

Bright Night Pink Gin: The Most awarded Pink Gin in Tasmania
The Bright Night Pink Gin continues to shine as a fan favourite. Crafted with Tasmanian murtis berries, it’s the picture of elegance and flavour — bright, juicy, and irresistibly smooth. This year, it added a bronze medal to its long list of accolades, following two previous gold wins.
While the medal count is impressive, what makes the Pink Gin truly special is how it connects with people. From Christmas Gift packs to Cocktail kits, it’s the gin that brings colour, fun, and a touch of sweetness to every occasion.

Why Victorian Trophies?
We have been asked why the trophies were from Victoria. Not a lot of people know that Bright Night Gin is a collaboration between Victoria and Tasmania, with the two founders living either sides of the Tasman. When we enter awards, we use Victoria as the base (where our operations happen) but our Gins are mostly made in Tasmania, where our distillery is.
