Bright Night Pink Gin Tasting Notes
Warm, earthy base notes of angelica, cardamon and cloves balance smoothly with the taste of summer: strawberry, pineapple, and something zingy like a fruit tingle. This gin’s sprightly melody and rich colour are carried by its hero botanical, the tiny red murtis berry.
Hand-picked on Tasmania’s north-west coast, and steeped in our classic BNG, the result is a pink gin that is lush and fruity. It looks like a summer sunset, and it tastes like strawberry sherbet.
Nose:
The nose is an inviting blend of fresh, fruity aromas, with prominent notes of ripe strawberries and tropical fruits. A subtle hint of spice from cardamom and cloves adds depth and complexity, while a playful, zingy undertone brings a touch of excitement to the bouquet.
Palate:
On the palate, this pink gin delivers a burst of summer flavors. The sweet, juicy taste of strawberries and tropical fruits is complemented by a subtle earthiness from angelica root, creating a well-rounded and a summery sip profile. The murtis berry adds a unique tartness from its skin, balancing the sweetness with a slightly tangy edge reminiscent of strawberry sherbet.
Finish:
The finish is smooth and lingering, with a delightful balance of fruit and spice. The warm notes of cardamom and cloves gently fade, leaving a refreshing aftertaste that is both sweet and slightly tangy, much like a summery cocktail enjoyed at sunset.

THE TEAM
Meet the team behind Bright Night Pink Gin.
Bright Night Pink Gin is one of the only two gins in Australia made with murtis berries. Both the gins are delicious and popular among gin connoisseurs and critics alike. The mix of the finest botanicals with the taste and fragrance of murtis berries delivers a burst of flavour unlike other pink gins. We think our pink gin might be one of Australia’s best pink gins.
Bright Night Pink Gin achieves its delightful sweetness naturally from the infusion of murtis berries during the steeping process. The berries in itself aren’t sweet so our Pink gin is actually not sweet. We like it that way as you can always add a sweet mixer but if you don’t like the sweet gin, you can’t take the sweetness out. We avoid excessive sweetness to allow the natural flavors to shine through and from everyone who has tasted the gin loves it for that reason too. We actually recommend drinking our Pink Gin with a low-sugar lemonade which creates a divinely delicious Pink Spritz.
Bright Night Pink Gin has won gold awards in San Francisco ( the highest awards competition for sprits in the world), in China Wine and Spirits awards at at home in Australian Gin awards. Our pink gin has also won Silver in most gin competitions internationally. The base of this gin is also our Wild Tasmanian gin which has won multiple gold medals and was crowned Asia Pacific spirit of the year. So we definitely think it deserves its spot as one of Australia’s Best Pink gins.
