A sophisticated award-winning Chardonnay Barrel Aged Gin
We’ve been letting our multi-award winning Wild Tasmanian Gin kick back and relax in a french oak Chardonnay wine barrel for the past few months. Why? Because we’re after that utterly lush, full-bodied flavor that’s got layers upon layers of complexity and depth.
Now, this barrel – it’s not just any barrel; it’s a local legend straight from the Tamar Valley, courtesy of our friends at Goaty Hill. This French Oak beauty used to be the home of some seriously good Chardonnay, and let me tell you, it’s infused our gin with a whole new universe of flavors. We have got oak notes, buttery vanillins and carmels adding layers on top of an already delicious signature gin.
The barrel aged gin has also got the golden hue, thanks to the delicate influence of the 200 liter, french oak Chardonnay cask.
